Authentic Student Voice and Moving from Talk to Action #edplay Panel Chat

Next Wednesday we are running our next Google Hangout Panel Chat. I know many of you are super busy, but I would love to have you join us and listen/discuss while this panel of students take over. This chat will be a panel made up of only students and in particular students in Iowa. I am bringing in Zak Malamed https://twitter.com/zakmal to help push the boundaries of thought. If you have not met Zak yet you are in for a treat.

Here is the topic

This session will last 30-45 minutes. During this session we will have a panel of students from the state of Iowa as well as Zak Malamed to discuss the topic of authentic student voice. We talk a lot about student voice, but how do we know it is real? Are we really listening to the voices of the youth? Should we? This is what we will be sharing.

Even more important to this topic is the next step of action. Many of us are tired of talking and are ready to start taking action. What can we do in Iowa to start making Student Voice an action and something that is happening? What does it look like and how do we get started?

This is what this amazing panel will be discussing. During this time Coffeechug will be moderating the back channels and Twitter to make sure we address the ideas being shared as people from all over listen in to the discussion.
