Training – Week 12 – Week 10 of Marathon Training – Thursday – Rest and Recover

I woke up today early as normal, but have decided to do nothing. I am going to give my body some time to heal and just get back to normal. Tomorrow I will see how my feet and body feel and if still a little tender either do nothing or go for a bike ride.

All I read and all I am told is how important rest and recovery is when it comes to training. Now that I have been training for over two months I find the days of not running to be more difficult than the days of pushing my body to new heights.

I never thought I would find this to be the case. It is amazing how this journey has changed my lifestyle and habits for the better.
