In this episode of the podcast, I speak with Peter Pappas. Peter is a University of Portland-based educator, writer and instructional designer exploring frontiers of teaching, jazz, Macs, film, great books, and garlic.

Currently I help foster the next generation of teachers as adjunct faculty at University of Portland. I teach MAT and undergrad social studies methods at Ed Methods and undergraduate educational technology at EdTechMethods.
I am proud of my 50-year career in education. Especially the many years I spent as a teacher. For over 20 years, I have worked with school districts, leading educational organizations and companies to improve the quality of teaching and learning. I provide training and consulting services across the United States and internationally. Here’s a link to my project showcase.
In 2005, I retired from East Irondequoit Central Schools where I served as Assistant Superintendent for Instruction. Previously I was the K-12 Director of Social Studies at Pittsford Central Schools, where I also taught high school social studies for 25 years.
I also served as adjunct faculty at the University of Alaska Southeast. My 2016 UAS students and I blog about teaching and learning at UASMAT.
