#25daysofmaking Day 25: Light-Up Peace Candle

Two projects remain for the 25 Days of Making.

Today the project is a perfect project to complete on the first day of the year. This project is challenging you to make a peace candle. What is incredible about this project is the maker has provided three different ways depending on whether you consider yourself to be crafty, techie, or STEAMy. I LOVE it! What a cool way to differentiate.

The maker is someone who I admire so much. Sandy Roberts is a former Biochemist turned middle-school Science, Engineering, and Math Teacher. Entrepreneur and Director of Kaleidoscope Enrichment, LLC. Mom. Wife. Nerd. Makerspace Coordinator for the Warren County (NJ) Library System. Author of The Big Book of Maker Camp Projects.

Her books is one that should be on every single makerspace shelf. It has so many practical but innovative projects for your space whether in class, before or after school, or as the time suggests a maker camp.

Be sure to check this project out. The backstory, the incredible details, and all the steps to be successful are laid out for you. It is such an honor to have a maker like Sandy on this project.

Let’s bring some peace to the world with this project.
