#25daysofmaking Day 3: 3Doodler Build A Better Book Character Design Challenge

25 Days of Making

2019 Edition

“Too much of our training is focused on solving known problems rather than imagining and exploring.” Joi Ito

Dear friends,

Today we bring you our third project of the #25daysofmaking. This project is just one of many from this fabulous maker who is contributing several projects this season. Learn more about Naomi on our maker page.

The project for today is all about making better characters from stories. Nothing is better than weaving in making and literacy. Even if you don’t have a 3D Doodler, think about what other materials you could instead. Don’t get stuck on tools and tech and focus more on the process.

We can’t wait to see how you’ll be improvising and making the project today, on day 3 of 25 days of making in which Naomi shares the first of many wonderful projects by her.

Create

Explore making some new twists to the ideas. While we share projects, the challenge becomes making it work for you and your space. If you make tweaks please share. Don’t not do a project if it does not fit perfect. Use your talents to remix it and make it work.. Don’t be discouraged if you have not done this before. Therefore, we are doing these projects so you can push your boundaries of learning and do something you never thought you could do before. And the same goes for your students.

Share

Add your project or any other projects you are working on through these options to share how you approached today’s challenge or the one from yesterday. Then, check out and comment on some other examples when they are shared.

Reflect

Take a moment to reflect on your creative process? Create a notebook, use a Google Doc, Evernote, Word Document….. What did you like most about your project? What would you do with it next, if you had more time? What are you planning to do?

Looking forward to hearing your adventures in making
