25 Days of Making
2019 Edition
Let’s reduce our waste by creating gifts from recyclable materials!
Dear friends,
Welcome to the fifth day of making for the #25daysofmaking. Today we feature my friend Jed Dearybury. He has been an educator for 18 years. First and second grade, higher education, and professional development for teachers. Learn more about the maker Jed on our maker page.
Jed contributed some wonderful ideas last year and he is back again. Be sure to stay connected with him as he has a book coming out focused on play and is just a wonderful person full of creative ideas.
Today marks being 1/5 of the way through the projects. Share your thoughts so far. What are you making? What do you want to make? What new ideas have sparked? What projects are you hoping to make from the incredible makers who have contributed a project so far? Let us know by sharing on Twitter using the #25daysofmaking, send me an email, or join our new FB Group dedicated to this project
Create
Jed has provided three ideas in one. What are other ways we can recycle materials to make other projects? If you have a good idea please share and we will post in a future post. Look around your holiday materials and rethink how we can use them for good.
Add your project or any other projects you are working on through these options to share how you approached today’s challenge or the one from yesterday. Then, check out and comment on some other examples when they are shared.
Reflect
Take a moment to reflect on your creative process? Create a notebook, use a Google Doc, Evernote, Word Document….. What did you like most about your project? What would you do with it next, if you had more time? What are you planning to do?
Looking forward to hearing your adventures in making
