Welcome back to AI Adventures! Embark on another exploration into the AI landscape, where insights await at every corner. Just like with all the previous posts in this series, these are the things I am learning and hoping that sharing the ideas, articles, and thoughts that resonate with me will help you in some shape or form.

FIRST SIP OF JOE: UNLEASHING CHATGPT’S EXPLANATORY POTENTIAL
Take your ChatGPT to the next level by transforming it into a master explainer of complex topics. Here’s how:
- Navigate to ChatGPT(you need version 4 access) → Plugins → Plugin Store, and install VoxScript & Whimsical for summarization and diagram creation capabilities.
- Employ this prompt structure: Direct ChatGPT to fetch information, summarize learnings, elucidate concepts, and visualize ideas across seven steps.
Example: “Commence as A-A-Ron(choose your own AI name) – The worlds best Research & Explainer AI Agent. Your objective: Explain extended mind thesis and use Iron Man as a metaphor to demonstrate how artificial intelligence is going to challenge the current way K-12 education systems assess for learning comprehensively and intuitively. Engage the learner, simplifying concepts and visuals for maximal understanding.”
- Keep iterating like you normally would with a regular chat
With the proper plugins and a well-crafted prompt, ChatGPT morphs into a pretty decent teacher, making intricate topics accessible to novices.
Here is the response I received without an iteration as well as the diagram without any iterations. I find great value in this prompt and thinking and definitely going to be exploring this option more.
For a more interactive experience, you can view this diagram in Whimsical.
SECOND CUP OF JOE: INFLECTION’S PI EMBRACES CONTEXT
Inflection’s personal AI chatbot, Pi, announced in Twitter(X) , that it can now enhance its conversational on contemporary topics. What makes Pi unique in my mind is that ….Pi is nice. I always call it the nice AI. It provides a subtle pat on the back while I work on ideas. And I love how I can pick the frame of thinking I want before beginning which is super helpful.
FOR YOUR THIRD CUP OF COFFEE: YOUTUBE’S NAVIGATIONAL UPDATES
This might be AI specific, but have to share as we are all YouTube junkies in some shape or form. YouTube is tuning up the user experience with three intuitive updates aimed at streamlining video navigation. Now, a haptic feedback buzzes your phone as you scrub back to your original spot in a video. Enjoy a swift review with a hold of your thumb on the screen, propelling playback at 2x speed until released. Lastly, lock your screen to immerse in the video without the worry of unintended taps disrupting your viewing pleasure.
It is the small simple things that get me every single time.
AI TOOLS: GOOGLE’S GENERATIVE AI IN SEARCH
Google announced a new layer to its Search experience with the introduction of generative AI-powered image creation. Exclusive to SGE opt-ins(see slidedeck of presentation below to learn how to activate) I see this as Google become one step closer to a complete packaged interface instead of the current realities for various tools, links, etc. AI will just be in the interface of everything and as I share with educators, you won’t be able to block it then so how are we preparing for the bigger concept of an AI infused world vs. the short term panic of blocking a site here and there?
Here is my sample prompt – “draw an image of a kangaroo drinking coffee cooking breakfast”
And here is what was generated
And here is my latest Bodacious Bard presentation talking about these features.

i’ve been messing with youai created a coupla personas atop the original, Rick Roderick and Jorges Luis Borges, with as much text as I could find to train with. Then I though one step further about synthernals : deceased or soon deceased human intellects that AI can assume and debates they could have regardless of time etc. What do you think ?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I have not heard of youai so I will be exploring this over the weekend. You have my brain going. The idea of having an AI version of a person to discuss and debate would be fascinating. I know you can do that somewhat now with ChatGPT by having it “act as ….” but what you are suggesting is more detailed. I am trying to process the bigger picture of ethics that could come from this, but I like the idea at the surface level.
youai is part of anthropic who i just heard was being sued for training some of their LLM on copyrighted lyrics or something… but they provide scaffolding as a start to customize the chatgpt3 that I believe it’s based on. It kind of spotlights the data you upload over the rest of it’s model in your own customized version. A synthernal if you will, if the person you model is deceased. So far I have done Rick Roderick(a philosopher that I admire) and Jorges Luis Borges… Argentinian short fiction writer.
