Do you need something hands on for students as a brain break, makerspace activity, or connecting to some bigger issues in the world this week?
Welcome to the second LEGO Micro-build Challenge. This second set of build ideas are ones that I think students will come up with some incredible builds on some very common items. I am excited to see what they develop and I will make my own designs and share soon.
I put together a little LEGO Micro-build Challenge this week based on common objects found around the area where I live. If you would like to suggest four items for the next build simple send me an email with your ideas.
What is a micro-build?
Micro-build means that all pieces must be 4 studs or less (smaller pieces). This is the creative constraint to the builds this week. You can use as many pieces as you wish as long as they are 4 studs or less.
Share Your Builds
- Head over to our Flipgrid channel and share your builds.
- #legomicrobuildchallenge is the hashtag on Twitter
- Head to my Facebook page for this site and post a comment under the pinned post for this Micro-build
We can’t wait to see what you build and share with the world!
I have also created a Google Slidedeck available for all to use. I have kept colors simple to allow for easy printing to add these cards to your LEGO station. Let me know your thoughts as I am always trying to create teacher friendly ideas and materials.
