Santa knows physics: Of all colors, Red Light penetrates fog best. That’s why Benny the Blue-nosed reindeer never got the gig.
You are all amazing. So far we have 23 ornaments shared which means 23 kids in need will receive some LEGO this holiday season. Thank you to all who have shared and continue to share.
We also have over 100 people signed up on the site to receive updates so this tells me we have a lot of builds coming our way soon! I cannot wait.
If you need a daily challenge to keep focused, then today we move onwards to the third build on the site which is a reindeer. There are some excellent models already built and on the site so use them to help you create a build of your own.
Here is to a great start to a wonderful week of less work, more carbs, and enjoying time with family and friends.
A couple of reminders and clarifications from the questions I have received as people get started.
- You can join in on the fun whenever you wish. It is not too late to join the building and sharing. If you want updates, there is a registration form to receive emails about this challenge.
- You can build any ornament and in any order you wish. I will promote one ornament idea each day, but you can build whatever one you want.
- You can build with any LEGO you have available. There is no wrong element or idea. The fact you are building is the real power in this challenge.
- How does one share their ornament?
- We have a Facebook Group for people to share builds and ideas. If the link does not work, then search for LEGO Ornament Challenge and it should pop up.
- You can email your builds aarmau (at) gmail (dot) com
- On the website for each build we also have a Flipgrid link so builders can share a video to either show all aspects, explain the build, or provide context to the ornament. We have two great Flipgrid examples for Santa already loaded from a classroom.
- If you are on Twitter, then you can share using #BuildToGive so LEGO can see your builds, but please include me @aaronmaureredu so I can see your build.
As you share, I will do my best to capture and document the builds so I can add them to the website so others can see your work. Let’s see what you create for a reindeer!
