Still on the music scene for my questions to ponder. I was talking with Amanda the other night and we were discussing all the concerts I have been to. I have been to way too many too count. The question came up about who the best live entertainers were that I have watched. Here is my top 5. What about you? Now keep in mind we are not talking about your favorite band or artist – we are listing top performers. If you view my list you will see that Dave Matthews is not number #1 even though I am obsessed with the music and have seen him perform 14 times. Is he my favorite artist/group? Yes. Is he my favorite songwriter? Yes. Is he the best live performer? No. There is a difference. Okay, here is my list.
1. Kid Rock
2. Dave Matthews Band
3. Counting Crows
4. Darius Rucker
5. Metallica
Other close contenders were Eric Clapton, Elton John, and Motley Crue. I will make a list of all concerts I have attended. I will have to search for my ticket stubs. I am now curious to see how much music I have seen live. Go ahead and submit your top performers.
P.S. My wife just told me that her favorite live act of all time is New Kids On The Block. Good stuff right there.
My mom says that Matt Nathanson is the best performer ever. When she went to his concert he made everyone laugh with stand-up between every song. 🙂 Music’s good too.
