#25daysofmaking Day 23: Creating Talking Paper Doll Holiday Culture Stories

We have just a few days left of the #25daysofmaking

I hope you have been enjoying the daily dose of making inspiration from makers from around the world. Today we are returning to a maker that has shared several outstanding projects this year. I am so grateful for her creativity and generosity in this project this year.

The project today brings us back to the Makey Makey. In this maker project you will be inspired to design, make and program your own holiday cultural talking paper dolls. You will then program and record your voice storyline, or an interactive dialogue of a character creation with Scratch! As a culminating activity, you will share your paper doll and holiday culture story with another student or classroom student as an cross classroom exchange.

This project is easily adaptable to many other project ideas. I am planning on remixing this idea for a huge STEM curriculum project I am developing with an elementary school starting next month.

Today I introduce Naomi Harm once more as the featured maker along with this project for day 23

While we have a few days left of freedom over break I understand many of you are taking the break you deserve, but I look forward to all the ideas that come from this project once you get settled back in the classroom.

Check out the project for day 23

Learn more about Naomi on our maker page.

Join our  FB Group dedicated to this project to ask questions, share ideas, and connect with other makers. We have had a lot of new faces join the group so let’s get connecting!

Finally, I would love to hear from you. What projects excite you? What are you learning so far? Don’t be shy, let us know your thoughts, ideas, and inspiration.
