Dear thank you card creators,
Welcome to day 27. What a wonderful day to make! Here in Iowa we have rain and gloom. Is it really winter? It just feels weird to not have snow on Christmas and now rain.
Regardless of the weather, this project today is perfect to do at the kitchen table or around the fire. I have taken the liberty to reframe the idea of a greeting card into a Thank You card. By this time of year we are all probably ready to send out thank you cards to let others know how much we appreciate their travels, their time, and gifts. This is a project that would crank up the thank you level a notch knowing that you made the entire card yourself!
Thank you to Jenn Morgan who is one of the most busiest people I know on this planet for squeezing out some precious time to share this project. It really speaks volumes to the dedication the education world has for one another by the dedication that not only Jenn, but everyone involved in this project has committed to creating so much incredible value to makers around the world.

So what about the project today? Day 27 is all about making greeting cards. We have made cards back on Day 6 when Rob taught us how to code patterns. Today we take the similar concept, but will be adding LED lights to the cards to have them light up.
Something that I love and cannot wait to learn is how Jenn made the battery house. I really love this idea.
Can you combine day 6 with day 27 to make something extra special?
I cannot wait to see what kind of cards you create with this project. This is a project that works year round whenever you or your students need to send out Thank You cards.

Add your project or any other projects you are working on through these options to share how you approached today’s challenge or the one from yesterday. Then, check out and comment on some other examples when they are shared.
Besides using the hashtag #25daysofmaking on Instagram and Twitter I am also posting the projects over on Facebook so you can interact on this platform as well.
Finally, don’t forget to head over to Flipgrid and introduce yourself and/or your students!
Reflect
This element is important! Don’t neglect reflection on your own learning. We must be lifelong learners and be models to our students.
Take a moment to reflect on your creative process by sharing with the hashtags and other mediums. Let us start a conversation about this concept. How did remixing help you? What questions do you still have about remixing?
