#25daysofmaking Project 10 LEGO Ornaments 🌲

“First law of the sea: Never place your rear end on a pirate’s face.” Metal Beard

Dear brick builders,

Welcome to day 10. You might be wondering what in the world does the quote from above have to do with the challenge for today. Well, nothing really except it comes from the LEGO Movie(which I LOVE!) and today we build with LEGO

This project is one that nobody has an excuse not to make. I expect lots of pictures to come through with this one! You can do this at home for your own decoration as well as at school as a project or brain break.

Grab those bricks and let’s get building.

We hope you enjoy the 10th day of making project.

Create

The 10th project is such a fun one to do. This comes from Alisha Bridges who went and made her own site for this project. She provides everything you need to be successful while still keeping things wide open as we should when it comes to building with LEGO.

Additionally, she has provided for even the little with Duplo ideas. Of course, there are even more online if you need some inspiration. However, the true spirit of making is making your own without judgement.

Share

Add your project or any other projects you are working on through these options to share how you approached today’s challenge or the one from yesterday. Then, check out and comment on some other examples when they are shared.

Besides using the hashtag #25daysofmaking on Instagram and Twitter I am also posting the projects over on Facebook so you can interact on this platform as well.

Finally, don’t forget to head over to Flipgrid and introduce yourself and/or your students!

Reflect

This element is important! Don’t neglect reflection on your own learning. We must be lifelong learners and be models to our students.

Take a moment to reflect on your creative process? Create a notebook, use a Google Doc, Evernote, Word Document….. What did you like most about your project? What would you do with it next, if you had more time? What are you planning to do?

Looking forward to hearing your adventures in making
